One-off beginner’s class

Select from our extensive range of starter trees and pots. The class involves:
- Selecting the right pot
- Pruning and trimming
- Root pruning
- Potting
- Wiring and shaping
- Maintenance and care

Take your new bonsai home. Cost is $30 plus materials. Pots start from $3 and trees from $5. Tools are available for use in the class.

Classes are held Sundays from 31 August till 22 November at 1:00pm. Bookings are essential - call Leigh on 0419 185 818.

Six-week beginner’s course

A comprehensive course involving five popular bonsai styles:
- Informal upright
- Broom
- Cascade
- Group Planting
- Literati/Bunjin

All materials are included in the cost of this course, except tools which will be available for use during the course. Quality stock trees are selected for this course in a variety of sizes.
Cost: $420

Classes are available Saturday or Sunday Mornings at 9:30am.

Blocks run in 6 weeks from:

Saturday 30 August till 4 October

Sunday 31 August till 5 October

Saturday 18 October till 22 November

Sunday 19 October till 23 November

Advanced techniques course

This 4 week course suits the bonsai enthusiast that already knows the basics.
Learn the following:

- Heavy bending
- Carving jins and shari
- Correct branch placement
- Achieving good taper in trunks and branches
- Pruning techniques
- And more

Select from our large range of field grown and mature stock and pots.
Cost: $200 plus materials

Classes are available Saturday afternoons at 1:00pm

Blocks run in 4 weeks from:

Saturday 30 August till 20 September

Saturday 27 September till 25 October (Not including 11 October - Show Weekend)

Saturday 1 November till 22 November
